Arrival declarationYou don't need to fill out any extra arrival form beyond the standard immigration procedures.
Not required
No separate arrival declaration is required for Taiwan passport holders entering Ukraine. Not required
Apply early — don't rely on last-minute processing
The e-visa can take up to 7 business days, and there's no expedited option for most applicants. If you apply too late, you risk missing your trip. Start the process at least 2 weeks before departure.
Keep digital copies of everything
In addition to printed copies, save your e-visa, hotel booking, insurance policy, and bank statement on your phone. If you lose a document, you can still show it digitally at border control.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-visa online
Go to the official Ukrainian e-visa portal (e-visa.mfa.gov.ua), create an account, fill in the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport's bio page, and pay the fee. Processing typically takes 5-7 business days, so apply at least a week before your trip.
2
Receive your e-visa approval
Once approved, you'll get the e-visa as a PDF via email. Print it out and also save a copy on your phone — you'll need to show it at check-in and at Ukrainian border control.
3
Prepare your documents for departure
Before you leave for the airport, gather your passport, e-visa printout, hotel booking, travel insurance, bank statement, and return ticket. Keep them in your carry-on so they're easy to access.
4
Go through immigration at Kyiv Boryspil or Lviv airport
When you arrive, follow the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and e-visa. The officer may ask a few questions (purpose of visit, where you're staying). Answer clearly and have your documents ready. You'll get an entry stamp — check that it's dated correctly before leaving the booth.
