Uganda entry requirements for Taiwan passport holders
Taiwan passport holders need an eVisa to enter Uganda. You apply entirely online before traveling, and approval usually takes a few business days. As of 2026, the eVisa is the standard entry method for tourism and short business visits.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| eVisa application Apply before travel | Apply for your Uganda eVisa at the official portal at least 2 weeks before departure. The standard single-entry tourist eVisa costs $50 USD and is usually processed within 3–5 business days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Entebbe will stamp the visa on arrival.Apply for eVisa | Required |
| Valid passport Must have 6 months validity | Your Taiwan passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Uganda. Immigration at Entebbe checks this strictly — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding or entry. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Required for entry | Immigration officers at Entebbe International Airport routinely ask for proof of a return or onward flight. Have a printed or digital copy of your ticket ready — they will not let you through without it. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or invitation letter | Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Uganda. Immigration may ask where you are staying, and having a booking ready avoids delays. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show sufficient cash or card | Have at least $200 USD in cash or a credit card statement showing available funds. Immigration can ask for proof you can support yourself during your stay — a bank statement or ATM receipt works. | Recommended |
