What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to evisa.e-gov.kz, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $20-30 USD) and wait for approval — usually 3-5 business days.
2
Pack your documents
Print the eVisa approval email, your flight itinerary, and hotel booking. Save digital copies on your phone too.
3
Arrive at the airport
At Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport (NQZ) in Astana or Almaty International Airport (ALA), go to the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and eVisa. They'll stamp you in.
4
Show your onward ticket
The officer may ask for proof of departure. Have your return flight booking ready on your phone or printed.
5
Collect your luggage and exit
