eVisa is mandatory — no exceptions
Tanzanian passport holders cannot enter Mongolia without an approved eVisa. There is no visa on arrival, and border officials will deny entry if you don't have one. Apply at least a week before your trip.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Mongolia, not from when you apply for the eVisa. Double-check your passport's expiry date before you start the application.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.mn, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 2–5 business days. You'll receive the eVisa by email as a PDF.

Print or save your eVisa
Print a paper copy and also save the PDF on your phone. Immigration at Ulaanbaatar's Chinggis Khaan International Airport will check it when you arrive.

Prepare your documents for arrival
Have your passport, eVisa printout, return ticket, and hotel booking ready. At immigration, hand over your passport and eVisa. They may ask to see your return ticket and accommodation.

Clear immigration and collect luggage
After the immigration officer stamps your passport, you're free to collect your bags and exit. The whole process usually takes 15–30 minutes if you have everything ready.
