Yellow fever certificate is mandatory

Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa, passport, and travel insurance on your phone and in cloud storage. If you lose the paper copies, you'll have backups.

What happens at the border

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Cameroon eVisa website (evisacameroon.com) and fill out the application. You'll need your passport details, travel dates, and accommodation info. Upload a digital passport photo and pay the fee. Processing usually takes a few business days.

Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa document. Print a copy and also save a digital version on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.

Prepare your documents for travel
Before you leave, gather your passport (valid 6+ months), eVisa printout, return ticket, first-night hotel booking, and travel insurance. Keep them all in your carry-on.

Arrive at Yaoundé or Douala airport
Most international flights land at Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport or Douala International Airport. Go to the immigration queue for 'Visas on Arrival / eVisa'. Present your passport, eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel, then proceed through customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel.
