No visa-on-arrival — plan ahead

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Libyan eVisa website (no third-party sites). Fill in your personal details, upload a passport-style photo and a copy of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (typically $50–$100 USD, depending on processing speed). Submit and wait for approval — usually 3–7 business days.

Print or save your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll receive an email with a PDF. Print a paper copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.

Prepare your documents for departure
At the airport check-in counter, present your passport and eVisa approval. The airline may also ask for your return ticket and accommodation confirmation. Keep all documents in your carry-on.

Arrive at a Libyan airport and go through immigration
At Tripoli Mitiga or Benghazi airport, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports'. Hand over your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket. The officer will stamp your passport and let you through. Expect questions about your purpose of visit and where you're staying.
