Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Ukrainian passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Kosovo. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Kosovo authorities, but airlines may ask for 6 months — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Kosovo
Immigration officers at Pristina International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they check this before stamping you in.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you're staying. A hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and phone number is enough. Keep a copy on your phone.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
You might be asked to show you have enough money for your stay. Around €50–€100 per day is a safe benchmark. A bank statement or credit card works fine.Recommended
Passport validity counts from arrival
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Kosovo, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, you'll be turned away.
No visa extension available
The 90-day visa-free stay cannot be extended. Overstaying even by a day can lead to fines and future entry bans. Plan your exit carefully.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Pristina International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. There are separate queues for EU/EEA and other nationals. Join the 'Other' queue. Have your passport and return ticket ready.
2
Present your passport to the immigration officer
Hand over your passport. The officer will check your validity, may ask about your trip purpose and length of stay. Answer briefly and honestly. They'll stamp your passport with an entry stamp.
3
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim. Then walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel if you have no goods to declare. You're now in Kosovo.
