No visa on arrival
Kenya no longer offers visa on arrival for Uruguayan passport holders. You must get an e-Visa before you fly. Airlines check this at check-in — without it, you won't be allowed to board.
Passport validity counts from entry, not departure
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Kenya. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the e-Visa.

Apply for e-Visa online
Go to the official Kenya e-Visa website (etakenya.go.ke). Fill in the application form, upload your passport scan and a passport-sized photo, and pay the fee (around $51 USD for a single-entry tourist visa). Processing usually takes 2–3 business days, but apply at least a week before your trip to be safe.

Receive and print your e-Visa
Once approved, you'll get an e-Visa by email. Print a copy and save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival in Kenya.

Arrive at JKIA (Nairobi) or Mombasa
At immigration, join the 'Visitors' queue. Have your passport, printed e-Visa, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will stamp your passport — you're usually allowed up to 90 days per visit.
