Passport validity counts from entry, not departure

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Uganda eVisa portal (visas.immigration.go.ug). Fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50 for a single-entry tourist visa). Processing takes 2–5 business days.

Receive and print your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll get a PDF via email. Print it out and keep a digital copy on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport (or land border)
At immigration, present your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation booking. They'll stamp you in. The process is usually quick — 10–15 minutes if you have everything ready.
