Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
You need an eVisa to enter Albania. Apply at the official portal — processing usually takes 3–5 business days. Print the approval email and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your Uzbekistan passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Albania. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Albanian law, but airlines may enforce 3 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration at Tirana Airport routinely asks for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready — a bus or ferry booking to Montenegro or Greece also works.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host in Albania. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays at the counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have bank statements or a credit card showing sufficient funds for your trip. There is no fixed minimum, but around €50–100 per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended
eVisa is single-entry
Once you leave Albania, the eVisa is used up. If you plan to visit neighbouring countries and return, you'll need a new eVisa. Consider a multiple-entry visa if that's your plan — but Albania doesn't offer one for Uzbek passport holders.
No embassy visit needed
The entire process is online. No need to visit an Albanian embassy or consulate. Just upload your documents and pay the fee.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Albanian eVisa portal (e-visa.al). Fill in your personal details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around €30-40) with a credit card. Submit and wait for the approval email — typically 2-5 business days.
2
Print or save the eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll get a PDF. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. Border officers may ask to see it at passport control.
3
Arrive at any Albanian airport or land border
At Tirana International Airport, join the 'All Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and the eVisa printout. The officer will stamp your passport — no additional forms needed. Expect a quick check of your return ticket and accommodation.
4
Enjoy your stay
You're allowed up to 90 days within any 180-day period. The eVisa is single-entry — if you leave Albania, you'll need a new one to re-enter.

The fee is around €30-40, paid online by credit card. There are no additional service charges if you apply directly on the official portal.
No — the eVisa is not extendable. If you need to stay longer, you'd have to leave Albania and re-enter after a 90-day gap. Overstaying can result in fines or a ban.
Not usually, but it's smart to have a bank statement or credit card available. Officers rarely ask, but they can if they suspect you can't support yourself.
Yes — the eVisa is valid at all Albanian border crossings, including land borders from Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Greece. Just show the printout at passport control.
Rejections are rare but can happen if your photo doesn't meet specs or your passport is damaged. You'll get a reason in the rejection email. You can reapply with corrected documents — no waiting period.
If you're staying airside (not passing through passport control), no visa is needed. But if you plan to leave the airport or stay overnight, you need the eVisa.
