What happens at the border

1
Apply for e-Visa online
Go to evisa.gov.bd, fill in the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50–$70 depending on duration) by credit card. Processing takes 3–7 business days.
2
Receive visa approval
You'll get an email with a PDF of your approved visa. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. Immigration at the airport will check this.
3
Arrive at Bangladesh airport
At Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (Dhaka) or any other international airport, go to the 'Foreign Passport' queue. Hand over your passport, printed visa, and boarding pass. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel address.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, collect your bags from the carousel. There are no customs forms to fill for personal items. Exit through the green channel if you have nothing to declare.
