Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Hong Kong Visit Visa
Apply online at the Hong Kong Immigration Department's website. The eVisa is required for Uzbekistan passport holders — there is no visa on arrival or visa-free access. Processing takes 2–4 weeks, and you must print the approval letter to present at immigration.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least the full duration of your stay in Hong Kong. Hong Kong does not enforce the 6-month validity rule, but your airline may ask for it at check-in — check with your carrier before departure.Required
Return or onward ticket
Outbound travel proof
Immigration officers at Hong Kong International Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Hong Kong. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statements or cash
Immigration may ask to see you have enough money for your stay. Bring recent bank statements or around 3,000 HKD in cash per day of your trip.Recommended
eVisa is your only option
Uzbek citizens cannot get a visa on arrival or a visa-free entry for Hong Kong. You must apply for and receive an eVisa before you travel. No exceptions.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Hong Kong, not from when you leave. If it expires sooner, renew it first.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the Hong Kong Immigration Department's eVisa portal. Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel plans. Upload a digital passport photo and pay the fee (around 230 HKD). Processing usually takes 3–5 working days.
2
Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa PDF. Print a paper copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Prepare your documents for travel
Before you leave, gather: passport (6+ months validity), printed eVisa, return ticket, hotel booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in your carry-on.
4
Arrive at Hong Kong International Airport
Follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Immigration'. Join the queue for 'Visitors' or 'Foreign Passports'. Have your passport, eVisa, and return ticket ready. The officer may ask your purpose of visit and where you're staying.
5
Receive entry stamp and collect luggage
The immigration officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry and the number of days allowed (usually 14 or 30, depending on your eVisa). Then proceed to baggage claim.
