What happens at the border

Apply for the e-visa online
Go to the Nigeria Immigration Service portal (portal.immigration.gov.ng) and fill out the e-visa application. Upload a digital passport photo and your passport data page. Pay the visa fee online. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.

Receive your e-visa approval
You'll get an approval letter by email. Print it out and keep a digital copy on your phone. You must show this at the airport check-in counter and again on arrival in Nigeria.

Prepare your documents for departure
Before you leave Uzbekistan, have your printed e-visa, passport, return ticket, and hotel booking ready. Airlines will check these before letting you board.

Arrive at a Nigerian airport
