Brunei entry requirements for Vietnam passport holders
Vietnamese passport holders can enter Brunei without a visa for stays up to 14 days. This visa-free arrangement is valid in 2026 and covers tourism, business, and transit purposes. Just make sure your passport meets the validity requirements and you have a return ticket handy.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of your stay | Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you plan to stay in Brunei. Immigration officers at Brunei International Airport check this at the counter — they won't let you through if it expires before you leave. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Brunei | Immigration in Brunei asks for a confirmed onward ticket before they stamp you in. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight out of Brunei ready — they check this at the counter. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Have your hotel reservation or host's address ready. Immigration officers occasionally ask where you're staying — a printed booking confirmation or a screenshot on your phone works fine. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself | Carry enough cash or a credit card to cover your stay. Immigration rarely asks for this for a 14-day visit, but having a bank statement or card handy avoids problems if they do. | Recommended |
