Your visa allows you to travel to all 27 Schengen countries (e.g., France, Germany, Spain) for up to 90 days. But you must enter Iceland first if that's your main destination.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents
Gather all required documents: passport, photos, flight itinerary, hotel bookings, travel insurance, bank statements, and the completed application form. Make copies of everything.
2
Book an appointment
Schedule an appointment at the Iceland Visa Application Center (VFS Global) in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Slots fill up, so book at least 2–3 weeks before your planned travel.
3
Attend the appointment
Go to the center with all original documents and copies. You'll submit your application, pay the fee (€80 for adults, €40 for children 6–12), and provide biometrics (fingerprints and photo).
4
Wait for processing
Standard processing takes 15 calendar days, but can extend to 30–45 days during peak season. Track your application online using the reference number from your appointment.
5
Collect your passport
Once approved, you'll get a passport with the visa sticker. Check the validity dates and number of entries — make sure they match your travel plans.
6
Enter Iceland
At Keflavík Airport, join the non-EU queue. Have your passport, visa, return ticket, and proof of accommodation ready. The officer may ask about your itinerary — answer clearly.
