Vietnamese passport holders can get a visa on arrival at Moroni's Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport. This is the standard entry method for tourism and short business visits. As of 2026, the process is straightforward — have your documents ready and pay the fee in cash (EUR or USD) at the airport.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Visa on arrival
Apply online before travel
Comoros issues a visa on arrival at Moroni International Airport. You must pre-register online at the SNAC website before departure — the airport kiosk processes your payment and prints the visa sticker. Have your booking reference and payment confirmation ready when you land.Pre-register for visaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your Vietnamese passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Comoros. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Comorian immigration, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Comoros immigration strictly requires a confirmed return or onward ticket. Without one, you will be denied boarding or entry. Have a printed copy or digital booking ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
While not always checked, having a hotel booking or invitation letter speeds up the visa-on-arrival process. If you are staying with a local, carry their contact details and address.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Comoros does not formally require proof of funds, but carrying cash (EUR or USD) or a bank statement helps if asked. ATMs are scarce outside Moroni.Recommended
Cash only at the airport
There is no ATM at Moroni Airport. Bring enough EUR or USD cash to cover the visa fee (€30–50) and any immediate expenses. You can exchange money at the airport or in town.
Visa on arrival only at Moroni Airport
This option is only available at Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport in Moroni. If you arrive by sea or at another airport, you must get a visa beforehand from a Comorian embassy.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Moroni Airport
After landing at Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport (HAH), follow the signs to the immigration hall. There's a dedicated counter for visa on arrival — usually on the left side before the main passport control booths.
2
Submit documents and pay fee
Hand over your passport, completed arrival card (usually given on the plane), and your return ticket. The officer will tell you the fee — pay in EUR or USD cash. Keep the receipt.
3
Receive visa and proceed to passport control
The officer stamps the visa into your passport. Then join the main passport control queue. Show your passport with the fresh visa and your boarding pass. You're in.
