Emirati passport holders can enter Palestine without a visa for stays up to 90 days. This visa-free access has been in place since 2024 and applies to both the West Bank and Gaza, though entry to Gaza is currently restricted due to the conflict.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your UAE passport must be valid for the entire period you plan to stay in Palestine. Border officers at the Allenby Bridge crossing and Rafah crossing check this before letting you through.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Palestine
Immigration at the West Bank crossings may ask for a return or onward ticket showing you'll leave within the visa-free period. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Palestine. Officers at the border sometimes ask where you're staying, especially if you're entering via the Allenby Bridge.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have access to enough cash or a credit card to cover your expenses. Border officials rarely ask, but it helps if questioned about your travel plans.Recommended
Entry to Gaza is currently restricted
Due to the ongoing conflict, the Gaza border crossings are closed to most travellers. Only humanitarian or press personnel may be allowed entry with special permits. Check current travel advisories before planning any trip to Gaza.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended
While not mandatory for entry, medical costs in Palestine can be high. A basic travel insurance policy covering medical evacuation costs around $50–100 for a week and can save you thousands in an emergency.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at border crossing
Most Emirati travellers enter Palestine via the Allenby Bridge (King Hussein Bridge) from Jordan, or via Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and then drive to the West Bank. At the crossing, join the queue for foreign passport holders.
2
Present documents to immigration officer
Hand over your passport, return ticket (screenshot is fine), and accommodation confirmation. The officer will check your passport validity and may ask about your travel plans. Answer clearly and briefly.
3
Receive entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with a free entry stamp valid for up to 90 days. No visa fee is charged. Keep the stamp visible — you'll need it when leaving.
4
Exit procedure
When leaving, present your passport at the same border crossing. Make sure your exit stamp is clear — it proves you left within the allowed period.
