UAE passport holders can enter Uzbekistan without a visa and stay up to 30 days. This policy has been in place since 2020, so short trips are straightforward. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you plan to stay in Uzbekistan. Airlines at check-in in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will verify this before letting you board.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Uzbekistan
Immigration officers at Tashkent International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or an invitation letter from your host. Border officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Officers may ask how you'll fund your trip. A bank statement or credit card showing access to around $100 per day is enough. I've never been asked for this, but it's smart to have it.Recommended
Keep your departure card stub
The small white card you fill out on arrival has a tear-off departure stub. Don't lose it — you'll need to hand it back when leaving Uzbekistan. Hotels may also ask for it during check-in.
Visa-free entry for UAE citizens
UAE passport holders enjoy visa-free access to Uzbekistan for up to 30 days. No visa application, no fee, no prior approval needed. Just show up with a valid passport.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at the airport
At Tashkent International Airport (or any land border), head to the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport and boarding pass ready.
2
Fill out the arrival card
You'll receive a small white arrival/departure card on the plane or at immigration. Fill in your name, passport number, flight number, and address in Uzbekistan. Keep the departure stub safe — you'll need it when leaving.
3
Present documents to immigration officer
Hand over your passport and the completed arrival card. The officer will check your passport validity and may ask about your stay duration and accommodation. Answer clearly.
4
Receive entry stamp
The officer stamps your passport with the entry date and writes the allowed stay (usually 30 days). Check the stamp before walking away.
5
Collect luggage and exit
Proceed to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel. You're free to enter.
