Most travellers fly into Asunción. At immigration, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport, boarding pass, and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp you in for up to 90 days — no fee, no form.

If entering by land from Argentina or Brazil
At land borders like Encarnación or Ciudad del Este, the process is similar. You'll walk up to the immigration booth, hand over your passport, and get a stamp. Keep your passport accessible — don't bury it in your bag.

Exit Paraguay
When leaving, go through immigration again. They'll stamp you out. No exit fee. If you overstayed, you'll need to pay a fine at the immigration office before departure.
