What happens at the border

Complete Check-Mig online
Go to migracioncolombia.gov.co and fill out the Check-Mig form. Do this between 72 and 1 hour before your flight. You'll need your flight details, passport info, and accommodation address. Save the confirmation PDF or screenshot.

Arrive at Colombian airport
Land at Bogotá (El Dorado), Medellín, Cartagena, or another international airport. Follow signs to 'Migración' (immigration). Have your passport, Check-Mig confirmation, and return ticket ready.

Passport control
Hand over your passport and the Check-Mig confirmation. The officer may ask how long you're staying and where. They'll stamp your passport with up to 90 days. Keep the stamp legible — it's your proof of legal entry.

Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. Green/red channel system: if you have nothing to declare, go through the green channel. You're free to enter Colombia.
