Bulgarian passport holders can enter Singapore without a visa for stays up to 90 days. This visa-free arrangement applies to tourism, business meetings, and short family visits. As of 2026, you just need a valid passport and a few basics ready at immigration.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Bulgarian passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date from Singapore. Immigration officers at Changi Airport check this strictly — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Singapore
Immigration at Changi will ask for a confirmed onward ticket showing you leave Singapore within 90 days. Budget airlines like Scoot and AirAsia check this before issuing a boarding pass — have a printed or digital copy ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Have your hotel confirmation or a letter from your host ready. Officers rarely ask for it, but if you're staying with friends or family, a letter with their address and contact number avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Carry at least 1,000 SGD in cash, a credit card, or a recent bank statement showing you can support yourself. Immigration officers may ask for proof of funds if you look like you're working or overstaying.Recommended
Strict 90-day limit — no extensions
The 90-day visa-free stay is not extendable. Mark your departure date on your calendar and set a reminder. Overstaying, even by a day, can lead to fines and a ban.
No arrival card needed
Singapore has scrapped the paper arrival card and the online SG Arrival Card for Bulgarian passport holders. Just your passport is enough.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents
Before you queue, have your passport, return ticket (screenshot), and accommodation confirmation ready. Keep them in your hand, not buried in your bag.
2
Arrive at Changi Airport immigration
At Changi Airport (Terminal 1, 2, 3, or 4), follow signs to 'Arrivals' and join the 'All Passports' queue. Automated e-gates are available for some nationalities — Bulgarian passports are not currently eligible, so use the manned counter.
3
Present your passport and answer questions
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask your purpose of visit, how long you're staying, and where you're staying. Answer clearly and briefly. They may also ask to see your return ticket.
4
Receive entry stamp and proceed
The officer will stamp your passport with the entry date and the allowed stay (usually 90 days). That's it — you're in. Collect your luggage and head to the arrival hall.
