Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Bulgarian passport needs to be valid for at least the full 30 days you plan to stay in Uzbekistan. Airlines at Sofia and connecting hubs check this before boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Uzbekistan
Immigration officers at Tashkent International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a clear digital version on your phone ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you're staying. Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and contact number ready.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Officers can ask for proof you have enough money for your stay. Carry a bank statement or a credit card with a reasonable limit — around $50 USD per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Uzbekistan, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, you'll be turned away.
No extension possible
The 30-day visa-free stay cannot be extended. If you overstay, you'll face fines and potential entry bans. Plan your trip carefully.
