Apply for your UK visa online
Go to gov.uk/apply-uk-visa and fill out the Standard Visitor visa application. You'll need to create an account, pay the fee (currently £115 for a 6-month visa), and book a biometric appointment.

Attend biometric appointment in Brazil
Visit a UK Visa Application Centre in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, or Belo Horizonte. Bring your passport, appointment confirmation, and supporting documents. They'll take your photo and fingerprints.

Wait for visa decision
Processing usually takes 3 weeks, but can be longer during peak seasons. You'll get an email when your passport is ready for pickup or delivery.

Travel to the UK
Arrive at a UK airport (Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, etc.) and go through immigration. Have your passport with visa, return ticket, and accommodation details ready. The officer may ask about your plans.

Transiting through United Kingdom
Transit visa required
Brazilian nationals generally require a Visitor in Transit visa to pass through UK immigration control when changing airports or leaving the airport. However, if you stay airside (do not pass through UK border control) and have a confirmed onward flight within 24 hours, you may be exempt under the 'Transit Without Visa' (TWOV) scheme.

- Holders of a valid UK, EU, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Ireland visa or residence permit may transit without a visa.
