Arrive at Budapest Airport (or other Schengen entry point)
You'll land at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) or another Schengen airport. Follow signs to 'Non-EU Passports' or 'All Passports'. Queue times vary — expect 15–45 minutes during peak hours.

Present your passport and supporting documents
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask for your return ticket, accommodation proof, and purpose of visit. Answer clearly and briefly. They'll stamp your passport with the entry date.

Collect your luggage and proceed to customs
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. Customs is usually green channel for most travellers. If you have nothing to declare, walk straight through.

Exit the airport and start your trip
Once through customs, you're free to leave. Taxis, buses, and trains are available outside. Keep your passport and entry stamp safe — you'll need it for your departure.
