Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Brazilian passport must be valid for the entire period you plan to stay in Macau. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Macau immigration, but airlines may enforce a 6-month rule — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Macau
Immigration officers at Macau International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they check this at the counter before stamping you in.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed or digital hotel reservation for your first few nights in Macau. Immigration rarely asks for it, but having it ready avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Have a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least MOP 5,000 (around USD 620) per person. Officers rarely request it for short stays, but it's a legal requirement under Macau immigration rules.Recommended
No visa needed — but don't skip the basics
You don't need a visa, but you still need a valid passport (6+ months), a return ticket, and a place to stay. Immigration checks are routine but can be strict.
Overstaying is costly
The 90-day stay is not extendable. Overstaying even by a day can result in a fine (around MOP 500–1000) and a possible ban from re-entering Macau.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Macau International Airport (MFM)
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Arrivals'. There are separate queues for Macau residents and visitors. Join the 'Visitors' queue.
2
Present your documents
Hand over your passport and any requested documents (return ticket, accommodation). The officer will check your passport validity and stamp you in. No forms to fill out.
3
Receive entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry and the allowed stay (90 days). Check the stamp before leaving the counter.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There are no customs declarations for personal items.
