Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your Swiss passport only needs to be valid for the duration of your stay in Singapore. Airlines sometimes enforce 6 months validity — check with your carrier before departure.Required
Return or onward ticket
Outbound travel proof
Immigration officers at Changi Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host address
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Singapore. Officers rarely ask, but having it avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Have access to at least 1,000 SGD (or equivalent) for your stay. A recent bank statement or credit card works fine.Recommended
SG Arrival Card (digital pre-arrival form)
Online submission within 3 days of arrival
Submit the SG Arrival Card at eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard up to 3 days before you land. It's free and takes 5 minutes — you get a confirmation email with a QR code. Officers rarely check it, but having it speeds up immigration.Submit SG Arrival CardOptional
No extensions — plan your exit
You cannot extend the 90-day visa-free stay. If you need more time, you must leave Singapore and re-enter after a short period. Overstaying carries heavy penalties.
No arrival card needed
Unlike many other countries, Singapore does not require Swiss passport holders to submit an online arrival declaration. Just show up with your passport.

What happens at the border

1
Arrival at Changi Airport
After landing at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Foreign Passports'. Join the queue for non-residents. Have your passport and boarding pass ready.
2
Immigration counter
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask your purpose of visit, length of stay, and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with a visit pass valid for up to 90 days.
3
Collect baggage and exit
After clearance, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green lane. You're free to enter Singapore.
