Passport validity counts from entry, not departure
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in the UK. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying. Many travellers get caught out by this.

Go to gov.uk/apply-uk-visa and fill out the standard visitor visa application. Pay the fee (around £115 for 6 months). You'll need to upload supporting documents like bank statements, flight itinerary, and accommodation proof.

Book an appointment at a UK Visa Application Centre in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, etc.). Bring your passport, appointment confirmation, and any requested documents. They'll take your photo and fingerprints.
