Arriving: red vs green channel

Upon arrival, proceed to the Customs Hall. If you have nothing to declare or goods within duty-free limits, use the green channel. If you have goods above the limit, cash to declare, or prohibited/restricted items, use the red channel. You must fill out a Customs Declaration Card (Form No. 1) even if using the green channel.

Bringing medication

Personal medications for up to 30 days supply are allowed with a doctor's prescription. Controlled substances (e.g., narcotics, psychotropics) require prior approval from the Ministry of Health. Some common Western medications like codeine, tramadol, and certain antidepressants are banned or strictly controlled. Carry original prescriptions and a letter from your doctor.

Food, plants & animal products

All food, plants, seeds, and animal products must be declared. Fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and dairy are generally prohibited without a phytosanitary certificate. Pork and pork products are banned. Honey and spices are allowed in small quantities for personal use.
