Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Armenia. Armenia does not enforce a 6-month validity rule beyond your departure date, but some airlines may still ask for 6 months — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended
Border officers at Zvartnots Airport may ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return ticket or a ticket to your next destination ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Hotel booking confirmation or a letter of invitation from a host in Armenia can smooth your entry. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended
Carry evidence of sufficient funds for your stay — a bank statement or credit card showing access to cash. No specific minimum amount is published, but showing at least $50 per day covers most situations.Recommended
No visa, no registration
Czech citizens enjoy one of the most straightforward entry processes in the region. No visa, no registration, no fees. Just show up with a valid passport and a return ticket.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Armenian border officers check passport validity carefully. If your passport expires within 6 months of your entry date, you will be refused boarding or entry. Renew early.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Yerevan airport or land border
At Zvartnots International Airport (Yerevan) or any land border crossing, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp you in — no forms to fill, no fee to pay.
2
Show your passport and answer questions
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask your purpose of visit, where you're staying, and how long you plan to stay. Answer briefly and honestly. They rarely ask for proof of funds or insurance.
3
Receive entry stamp and proceed
You'll get an entry stamp in your passport. That's it — you're in. No registration with local authorities is needed for stays under 180 days. Keep your passport safe; you'll need it for hotel check-ins and any domestic flights.
