Status
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid only for the length of your stay in Macau. Airlines sometimes enforce a 6-month validity rule — check with your carrier before departure.
Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Macau
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they check this at the counter before you get your entry stamp.
Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Macau. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays if they do.
Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient money for your stay
Have access to at least 5,000 MOP (around 620 USD) for a short visit. A credit card or bank statement works — officers almost never check this for Estonian passport holders.
Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. Airlines check this before boarding. If you're even one day short, you'll be denied travel.
No visa, but still need proof of onward travel
Even though you don't need a visa, immigration may ask for a return or onward ticket. Always have a screenshot or printed copy ready.
