Visa required — apply early
Egyptian passport holders cannot enter Kuwait without a pre-approved visa. Start your application at least 10 days before departure to avoid delays.
Keep digital copies of everything

What happens at the border

1
Apply for your visa online
Go to the official Kuwait e-visa portal (evisa.moi.gov.kw) and submit your application. You'll need your passport details, a digital photo, and your travel dates. Processing usually takes 2–5 business days.
2
Wait for visa approval
Check your email and the portal for the visa decision. Once approved, download and print the visa document, or save a clear copy on your phone.
3
Prepare your documents
Gather your passport, visa approval, return ticket, hotel booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in a folder or saved on your phone for quick access.
4
Arrive at Kuwait International Airport (KWI)
Go to the immigration hall. Join the queue for 'Visitors' or 'Foreign Passports'. Have your passport and visa approval ready. The officer will check your documents, take fingerprints, and stamp your passport.
5
