RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Egyptian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Myanmar. Apply at the official Myanmar eVisa Portal (evisa.moip.gov.mm) at least 3 business days before departure. The eVisa is valid for 90 days from issue and allows a single entry for up to 28 days.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for 6 months beyond your stay
Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry into Myanmar. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Myanmar
Immigration officers at Yangon and Mandalay airports routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or show it on your phone. Overland exits are also accepted if you have a bus or train booking.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or an invitation letter from your host. Immigration may ask for your first night's address on arrival. A booking on Booking.com or Agoda works fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support your stay
Have at least $300 USD in cash or a credit card statement ready. Myanmar immigration rarely asks for this, but it's safer to carry the equivalent in crisp US dollars (no marks or tears).Recommended
Passport validity is critical
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. If it's close to expiring, renew it before applying for the eVisa. Applications with insufficient validity are automatically rejected.
eVisa only valid at airports
The eVisa is only accepted at Yangon, Mandalay, and Naypyidaw international airports. If you plan to enter Myanmar by land, you need a different visa type.
