Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Spanish passport needs to be valid for the entire period you plan to be in Palestine. Border officers at the Allenby Bridge crossing and Ben Gurion Airport check this. Airlines may also ask for at least 6 months validity — check with your carrier before departure.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Palestine/Israel
Immigration at the Allenby Bridge crossing and Ben Gurion Airport routinely asks for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking out of Israel or Jordan ready. Budget airlines like Ryanair and Wizz Air also check this at check-in.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host in Palestine ready. Border officers at the Allenby Bridge crossing sometimes ask where you are staying. A printed booking confirmation works fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Carry at least €500 in cash or have a bank statement showing sufficient funds. Immigration at the Allenby Bridge crossing may ask how you plan to finance your stay. A credit card and recent bank statement on your phone usually suffices.Recommended
Entry via Israel means Israeli border control
Even though you're entering Palestine, you'll pass through Israeli immigration first. They may ask detailed questions about your trip. Keep answers consistent and honest. Avoid mentioning any political activities or sensitive topics.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended
Medical costs in Palestine can be high — a hospital stay can run hundreds of dollars per day. Insurance covers emergencies, evacuation, and trip cancellations. It's not always required for entry, but don't skip it.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at the border or airport
You'll enter Palestine either via the Allenby Bridge crossing from Jordan (land border) or through Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv (air). At Ben Gurion, follow signs for 'Foreign Passports' and join the queue. At Allenby, you'll go through Israeli security first, then Palestinian customs.
2
Present your documents
Hand over your passport, return ticket (printed or on phone), and accommodation confirmation. The officer may ask a few questions about your trip — keep answers simple and honest.
3
Receive entry stamp or permit
You'll get an entry stamp or a separate permit slip. Check the validity dates before leaving the counter. Keep the slip with your passport at all times.
4
Exit the terminal
After clearing customs, you're free to exit. If you arranged an eSIM, it should activate automatically. Otherwise, buy a local SIM at the airport shop or in town.
