Ethiopian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Malawi. You must have an approved eVisa before you travel. Airlines will check this at check-in.
Yellow fever vaccine required if coming from Ethiopia

Print or save eVisa approval
Once approved, you’ll receive an email with your eVisa. Print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. You’ll show this at check-in and on arrival.

Arrive at Kamuzu International Airport (Lilongwe) or Chileka Airport (Blantyre)
At immigration, present your passport, eVisa approval, return ticket, and accommodation booking. The officer will stamp you in. The process usually takes 10–15 minutes if you have all documents ready.
