What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Myanmar eVisa website (evisa.moip.gov.mm). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50 USD) by credit card. You'll receive a confirmation email within minutes.

Processing usually takes 3–5 working days. Check your email (including spam) for the approval letter. It will be a PDF with your photo and a QR code. Print a copy and save it on your phone.
3
Arrive at Yangon, Mandalay, or Naypyidaw airport
The eVisa is only valid for entry through Yangon International Airport, Mandalay International Airport, or Naypyidaw International Airport. Land border crossings are not covered. At immigration, present your passport, eVisa printout (or phone), and return ticket. You'll get a 28-day stay stamp.
