What happens at the border

1
Contact the nearest Kuwaiti embassy or consulate
Find the Kuwaiti embassy or consulate that covers your area. In Indonesia, that's the Embassy of Kuwait in Jakarta. Call or email them to confirm the visa application process, required documents, fees, and whether you need an appointment.
2
Prepare your documents
Gather all required documents: passport with 6+ months validity, photos, application form, flight itinerary, hotel booking or sponsor letter, and bank statements. Make photocopies of everything — the embassy may keep copies and return originals.
3
Submit your application in person or by mail
Depending on the embassy, you may need to appear in person for biometrics or an interview. If mail-in is allowed, use a trackable courier. Pay the visa fee at this stage — get a receipt.
4
Wait for processing
Processing can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks. The embassy will contact you when a decision is made. Don't book non-refundable flights until you have the visa in hand.
5
Collect your passport with the visa
Once approved, you'll get your passport back with the visa sticker or stamp. Check the visa dates and spelling of your name immediately. If anything is wrong, notify the embassy right away.
6
Arrive in Kuwait and go through immigration
At Kuwait International Airport (or land border), proceed to the immigration counter. Present your passport with the visa. The officer will check your documents and may ask about your purpose of visit. Keep your accommodation and return flight details handy.
