What happens at the border

Apply for the e-visa online
Go to https://evisa.gov.mz/ and complete the application form. You'll need to upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page, a passport-sized photo, and pay the fee. Processing typically takes a few business days, so apply at least a week before your trip.

Receive and print your e-visa
Once approved, you'll receive the e-visa by email. Print a copy to carry with you, and also save a digital copy on your phone as a backup.

Arrive at the airport in Mozambique
At Maputo International Airport (or other entry points), proceed to immigration control. Present your passport, printed e-visa, return ticket, and accommodation details. The officer will check your documents and stamp your passport.

Pass through passport control
After the immigration officer verifies your documents, they'll stamp your passport with the entry date and allowed stay. Keep the stamped entry slip — you'll need it when you leave.
