eVisa is mandatory — no visa on arrival
Indian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Mozambique. You must apply and receive approval online before your flight. Without an eVisa, you'll be denied boarding.

Apply for eVisa online
Go to the official Mozambique eVisa portal (evisa.gov.mz). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days. You'll receive the eVisa by email.

Print or save eVisa
Once approved, print a copy of the eVisa and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.

Prepare documents for travel
Gather your passport (with 6+ months validity), return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in your carry-on.

Arrive at Maputo or other entry point
At Maputo International Airport (MPM), proceed to immigration. Present your passport, eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp your passport. The process usually takes 10–20 minutes.

Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel.
