Iraqi passport holders need an eVisa to enter Armenia. You apply entirely online before you travel. Since 2026, the eVisa is the standard way to visit for tourism or business.

What happens at the border

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.mfa.am, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3-5 business days. Print the approval email or save a PDF on your phone.

Prepare your documents for departure
Before heading to the airport, gather your printed eVisa, passport (valid 6+ months), return ticket, and accommodation booking. Keep them in your carry-on.

Arrive at Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for foreign passports. Hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask about your trip duration and where you're staying. Answer clearly.

Receive your entry stamp
Once approved, the officer stamps your passport. You're free to enter. Collect your luggage and proceed through customs.
