Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Guinea. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Conakry Airport will ask for proof of a return or onward flight. Have a printed copy or show it on your phone. Without one, you may be refused entry.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from your host in Guinea. Officers rarely ask, but having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry cash (Euros or USD) or a bank statement showing at least $500 for your stay. ATMs in Conakry are unreliable and credit cards are rarely accepted outside major hotels.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccination required
Guinea requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers over 1 year old. Carry your yellow card — it's checked at immigration. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated on the spot.
eVisa is mandatory — no visa on arrival
Jordanian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Guinea. You must apply and receive your eVisa before you travel. Plan ahead.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Complete the online eVisa application form. Upload a digital copy of your passport bio page and a passport-sized photo. Pay the fee (if applicable) and submit. Processing typically takes a few business days.
2
Receive and save your eVisa
Once approved, you'll receive the eVisa by email. Print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at immigration in Conakry.
3
Prepare your documents for travel
Before you leave, gather your passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa, return ticket confirmation, and first night hotel booking. Keep them in your carry-on.
4

At immigration, present your passport, eVisa, and return ticket. The officer may ask for your hotel address. The process is straightforward but can be slow — expect 20-40 minutes in line.
