Jordanian passport holders can get a Visa on Arrival (VoA) when landing in Indonesia in 2026. Just join the VoA queue at major airports like Jakarta (CGK), Bali (DPS), or Surabaya (SUB), pay the fee in cash, and you're in. No advance application needed.

Entry requirements

Visa on arrival application
Visa on arrival
Jordanian passport holders can get a visa on arrival at major Indonesian airports (Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, Medan) and seaports. Pay the visa fee in cash (USD 35 for 30 days) at the 'Visa on Arrival' counter before immigration. Have your return ticket and hotel booking ready — officers at Ngurah Rai (Bali) and Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta) routinely ask for both.Apply onlineRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date
Indonesia strictly enforces the 6-month passport validity rule. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding. No exceptions.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for visa-on-arrival entry
Immigration officers at all Indonesian airports check for a confirmed onward or return ticket before stamping your visa on arrival. A printed or digital copy works. If you plan to overstay or leave by land, buy a refundable onward ticket.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Immigration at Bali and Jakarta often asks for a hotel booking covering your entire stay. A hostel or Airbnb confirmation works. If staying with friends, have their address and phone number written down.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement
Officers rarely ask, but having at least USD 1,000 in cash or a recent bank statement avoids problems. ATMs are widely available in cities but unreliable in remote areas.Recommended
Cash only at VoA counter
The Visa on Arrival fee must be paid in cash — no cards, no mobile payments. Have 500,000 IDR ready in small bills. ATMs are available after immigration, but you'll need the cash before you get there.
VoA is not extendable for Jordanians
You cannot extend the 30-day VoA. If you think you might need more time, look into a B211A social visa before you travel — it allows up to 60 days and can be extended.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at the airport
Follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' or 'VoA' after deplaning. At Jakarta (CGK) and Bali (DPS), the counters are clearly marked before immigration. Join the queue — it can take 10–30 minutes depending on crowds.
2
Pay and get your visa
Hand over your passport and the fee (500,000 IDR). The officer will process payment, then stamp a visa sticker into your passport. You'll get a small receipt — keep it with your passport.
3
Proceed to immigration
After getting the VoA sticker, go to the immigration counter. Show your passport (with the new visa), your boarding pass, and your return/onward ticket. The officer may ask your purpose of visit and where you're staying.
4
Collect your bags and exit
Once stamped in, head to baggage claim, then customs. You're free to enter Indonesia. The VoA is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Frequently asked questions

The fee is 500,000 Indonesian Rupiah (about 35 USD). You must pay in cash — no credit or debit cards accepted. US dollars are sometimes accepted, but it's safer to bring Rupiah.
No, the VoA for Jordanian passport holders is not extendable. You must leave Indonesia within 30 days. If you need to stay longer, apply for a B211A social visa before travel — it allows up to 60 days and can be extended.
VoA is available at major airports (Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, Medan, etc.) and some seaports. At land borders or very small airports, it may not be available. Check with your airline or the Indonesian embassy if you're arriving at an unusual entry point.
Yes, an onward ticket to any country outside Indonesia is fine. It doesn't have to be a return to Jordan. Immigration just wants proof you'll leave within 30 days.
Jordanians are eligible for the Visa on Arrival, but there is no dedicated e-Visa for VoA. If you want to avoid the queue, apply for a B211A social visa through an Indonesian sponsor — that's a different process and costs more.
Overstaying costs 1,000,000 IDR (about 65 USD) per day, payable at immigration when you leave. Serious overstays (over 60 days) can lead to deportation and a ban. Set a reminder on your phone.
No, it's not required by immigration. But it's strongly recommended — medical costs in Indonesia can be high, and insurance covers trip disruptions. Some airlines may ask for proof of insurance at check-in, though it's rare.
