RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Jordan passport holders need an eVisa to enter Myanmar. Apply at the official Myanmar eVisa Portal — processing takes about 3 working days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport to present at immigration.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for 6 months beyond stay
Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry into Myanmar. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Yangon and Mandalay airports routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return or onward ticket ready. Without one, you risk being refused entry.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
While not always checked, having a hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from your host can speed up the immigration process. Keep a printed copy or a screenshot on your phone.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Immigration may ask to see evidence you can support yourself during your stay. Carry a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least $300–$500 USD equivalent.Recommended
Enter only through designated airports
Your eVisa is only valid for entry at Yangon, Mandalay, or Naypyidaw airports. If you arrive at any other airport or a land border, you'll be denied entry.
Keep a printed copy of your eVisa
Immigration officers prefer a paper copy. Print it before you leave. A digital copy on your phone is a backup, but a printout is smoother.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to the official Myanmar eVisa website (evisa.moip.gov.mm). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3-5 business days. You'll receive the eVisa by email as a PDF.
2
Print or save your eVisa
Print a paper copy of the eVisa approval letter. Also save a digital copy on your phone. Immigration at the airport will ask to see it before they stamp your passport.
3
Arrive at Yangon, Mandalay, or Naypyidaw airport
eVisa holders must enter through one of these three international airports. At immigration, present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. They'll stamp you in for up to 28 days.
4
Keep documents handy during your stay
Carry your passport and a copy of your eVisa at all times. Hotels may ask to see it when checking in. If you're stopped by police, you need to show your passport.
