Visa application
Apply for a Taiwan visa at the Bureau of Consular Affairs
Jordanian passport holders need a visa before traveling to Taiwan. Submit your application online at the Taiwan eVisa portal, then attend an in-person interview at the nearest Taiwan diplomatic mission. Processing takes 5–7 working days for most visa types.Apply for visaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the entire stay in Taiwan
Your passport needs to be valid for at least the full duration of your stay in Taiwan. Taiwan does not enforce the 6-month validity rule for Jordanian passports, but airlines may still check for it at check-in.Required
Return or onward ticket
Immigration may ask for proof of departure
Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or onward ticket ready. Taiwan immigration officers routinely ask for this at the counter, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked hotel.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or an invitation letter from your host in Taiwan. Immigration rarely asks for it, but having it ready avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have bank statements or a credit card showing at least NT$20,000 (around $650 USD) available. Taiwan immigration does not strictly enforce this for short visits, but it helps if questioned.Recommended
No visa on arrival — apply well in advance
Jordanian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Taiwan. You must apply and receive approval before you travel. Processing takes 2–4 weeks, so start at least 6 weeks before your trip.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Taiwan, not from your departure date. If your passport expires sooner, renew it before applying for the visa.
