Macau entry requirements for South Korea passport holders
South Korean passport holders can visit Macau visa-free for up to 90 days. No visa or pre-arrival registration is needed for tourism, business, or transit. This policy is in effect for 2026.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must cover your entire stay in Macau | Your South Korean passport needs to be valid for the full duration of your stay in Macau. Macau does not enforce a 6-month validity rule beyond your departure date, but airlines may still check for at least 6 months of remaining validity — check with your carrier before flying. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Macau | Immigration officers at Macau International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they want to see you leave within the 90-day visa-free period. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or invitation letter | Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host in Macau. Immigration rarely asks for it, but having it ready avoids delays if they do — especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Sufficient money for your stay | Have access to enough cash or a credit card to cover your expenses. Macau does not publish a specific minimum amount, but officers may ask how you plan to support yourself — a bank statement or card works fine. | Recommended |
