Lebanese passport holders can get a visa on arrival in Armenia. You'll receive a 120-day single-entry visa at the airport or land border for about 3,000 AMD (roughly $8 USD). This has been the policy since 2024, so no need to apply in advance.

Visa on arrival
Visa on arrival
Get your visa at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan or at land borders. Pay the fee in USD or AMD — have exact cash ready. The visa is valid for up to 120 days, single entry, and costs around $15 USD.Apply onlineRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Your passport needs at least 6 months of validity from your date of entry into Armenia. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for visa-on-arrival processing
Border officers ask for proof of onward travel — a return flight or a ticket to your next destination. Have a printed or digital copy ready. Without it, you may be refused the visa on arrival.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration may ask where you are staying. Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and contact details. A printed copy works best.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Carry at least $200 USD in cash or have a bank statement showing available funds. Officers rarely check this, but if they do, you need to show you are not traveling broke.Recommended
Visa on arrival is straightforward
The process at Yerevan airport is well-organized. Staff speak English and Russian. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes. No need to stress.
Cash only for visa fee
The visa-on-arrival counter does not accept credit or debit cards. Bring 3,000 AMD in cash. If you arrive late at night, exchange desks may be closed, so have the dram ready before you travel.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Yerevan airport or land border
At Zvartnots International Airport (Yerevan), follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' after passport control. At land borders like Bagratashen or Meghri, look for the immigration office before the main checkpoint.
2
Fill out the visa application form
You'll be given a short form asking for your name, passport number, and length of stay. Fill it out in block capitals. Staff can help if needed.
3
Pay the fee and receive your visa
Hand over your passport, the completed form, and 3,000 AMD. The officer will print and stick the visa in your passport. The whole process takes 5–10 minutes.
4
Proceed through immigration
With the visa in your passport, go to the immigration queue. Show your passport, return ticket (if asked), and accommodation booking (if asked). You'll get an entry stamp and you're in.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, at all international airports (Yerevan, Gyumri) and major land borders with Georgia and Iran. Smaller crossings may not have the facility — stick to the main ones.
The visa on arrival is a single-entry visa valid for 120 days (about 4 months). You must leave Armenia before it expires. Extensions are not available for this type.
Technically yes, but you'll get a poor exchange rate. Best to bring Armenian dram (AMD) in cash. There are ATMs at the airport, but the exchange counters may be closed late at night.
Overstaying is taken seriously. You'll be fined 50,000 AMD (about $130 USD) for the first 10 days, then additional penalties. In extreme cases, you could be banned from re-entry. Don't risk it.
If you're transiting and not leaving the international transit area of the airport, you don't need a visa. But if you plan to leave the airport or have a layover longer than a few hours, you'll need the visa on arrival.
No, the visa on arrival is not extendable. If you need to stay longer, you must leave Armenia and re-enter, or apply for a different visa type at the Armenian embassy before travel.
Have your passport (with 6+ months validity), return ticket (printed or screenshot), first night hotel booking, and the visa fee in cash. Travel insurance is not mandatory but smart to have.
