Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire period you plan to stay in the UAE. Airlines at check-in may enforce a 6-month validity rule, but UAE immigration only requires validity covering your stay.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from the UAE
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or a letter from your host. Immigration may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient money for your stay
Have access to at least 3,000 AED (roughly 800 USD) for a short stay. Immigration rarely checks, but budget airlines may ask for proof of funds at check-in.Recommended
6-month passport rule strictly enforced
Airlines check passport validity before boarding. If your passport expires within 6 months of your arrival date, you will be denied boarding — no exceptions. Check your passport now.
No visa needed, but keep documents handy
You don't need to apply for anything in advance. Just arrive with your passport, onward ticket, and accommodation details. Immigration may ask for any of these, so have them accessible.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at UAE immigration
When you land at Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or any other UAE airport, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' or 'Arrivals'. There are separate queues for GCC nationals and other nationalities — join the general queue.
2
Present your passport
Hand over your Lithuanian passport to the immigration officer. They will scan it and may ask a few questions: purpose of visit, where you're staying, how long you plan to stay. Answer briefly and honestly.
3
Receive entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with a 90-day visit visa. Check the stamp before walking away — it should show the date of entry and the allowed stay period. Keep the stamp visible in your passport.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There are no arrival forms to fill out. You're free to leave the airport once you have your bags.
