Lithuanian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Myanmar. The eVisa is valid for tourism and business visits, and you must apply online before you travel. As of 2026, the eVisa allows a stay of up to 28 days.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply for an eVisa before travel
You must apply for a Myanmar eVisa at the official eVisa portal before departure. The eVisa is valid for 28 days from the date of entry and allows a single entry. Apply at least 3 business days before your flight.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Your Lithuanian passport must have at least 6 months of remaining validity from your date of entry into Myanmar. Airlines and immigration officers strictly enforce this.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers will ask for proof of a return or onward flight out of Myanmar. Have a printed or digital copy of your ticket ready. Overstaying your eVisa's 28-day validity incurs a fine of $3 USD per day.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to have on hand
While not always checked, having a hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from a host can speed up the immigration process. Keep a printed copy or screenshot on your phone.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to show sufficient cash
Immigration may ask to see you have at least $300 USD in cash or a credit card to cover your stay. ATMs are available in major cities but unreliable in rural areas.Recommended
eVisa only valid for air arrivals
The Myanmar eVisa is only accepted at Yangon, Mandalay, and Naypyidaw airports. If you plan to enter by land from Thailand, India, or China, you need a different visa — apply at a Myanmar embassy or consulate.
Keep your passport stamp safe
Myanmar immigration stamps a full page on entry. Don't lose that page — you'll need it when you leave. If your passport is damaged or the stamp is unreadable, you could face delays at departure.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Myanmar eVisa website (evisa.moip.gov.mm). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50 USD for tourism) with a credit card. Processing takes 3–5 working days, sometimes faster.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa as a PDF. Print at least one copy — you'll need to show it at check-in and upon arrival in Myanmar. Keep a digital backup on your phone too.
3
Prepare your documents for departure
Before you leave for the airport, gather: your passport (6+ months validity), printed eVisa, return/onward ticket, and first-night hotel booking. Put them in an easily accessible folder.
4
Arrival at Yangon, Mandalay, or Naypyidaw airport
At immigration, join the 'eVisa' queue. Hand over your passport, eVisa printout, and boarding pass. The officer will stamp you in. Keep the stamp visible — you'll need it when you leave. The whole process usually takes 10–20 minutes.
5
Collect baggage and exit
After immigration, collect your luggage from the carousel. There's a customs declaration form to fill if you have items to declare (over $10,000 USD, or restricted goods). Otherwise, walk straight through the green channel.
