Proof of departure
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket showing you leave Guinea within your authorized stay. Have a printed or digital copy ready.Required
Proof of accommodation

Carry a hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Guinea. Immigration may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked hotel.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient cash or card
Have at least €200 or equivalent in cash or a credit card statement. Officers rarely check, but being prepared avoids delays.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must show a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate (yellow card) at immigration. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated on the spot at your own expense. Get the shot at least 10 days before you travel.
Cash is king in Guinea
ATMs are scarce and often out of order. Bring enough euros or US dollars in cash to cover your entire stay. Exchange at banks or official exchange offices — avoid street changers.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Guinea eVisa website (usually evisa.guinee.gov.gn or similar). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee with a credit card. Processing typically takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your eVisa approval
You’ll get an email with your eVisa approval. Print a copy and also save the PDF on your phone. Keep it with your passport — you’ll show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Arrive at Conakry International Airport (CKY)
After landing, follow signs to immigration. Have your passport, eVisa printout, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 15–30 minutes if you have everything ready.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, go to baggage claim, then customs. There’s usually no customs declaration for personal items. Exit into the arrivals hall — you’re in Guinea.
