Moroccan passport holders need an eVisa to enter Uzbekistan. Apply at e-visa.gov.uz at least 3 working days before departure. The eVisa is single entry, valid for 30 days from the date of issue.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Uzbekistan. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by Uzbek law, but airlines may enforce 6 months — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers at Tashkent International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a digital version on your phone ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or an invitation letter from your host in Uzbekistan. Officers may ask for it, especially if you're arriving without a pre-booked tour.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient cash or card
Have at least $50 USD per day of stay available in cash or on a credit card. Uzbek immigration rarely checks this, but it's safer to have proof ready.Recommended
eVisa is single-entry only
The standard eVisa allows one entry. If you leave Uzbekistan (even for a day trip), you'll need a new eVisa to re-enter. Plan your itinerary accordingly. For multiple entries, consider a different visa type.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Uzbekistan, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the eVisa. This is a common reason for denial.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to e-visa.gov.uz, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and passport scan, and pay the fee (around $20 USD). Processing takes 3 working days. You'll receive the eVisa by email as a PDF. Apply at least a week before your flight to be safe.
2
Prepare your documents
Print the eVisa approval, or save it on your phone. Also have your passport, return ticket, and hotel booking confirmation ready. Keep a screenshot of your return ticket. Organize them in a folder for quick access.
3
Arrive at the airport in Uzbekistan
At Tashkent International Airport (or other entry points), go to the immigration counter. Present your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel address. Answer clearly. You'll get a stamp allowing up to 30 days. The process usually takes 5-10 minutes.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. There's usually nothing to declare for personal items. Then you're free to enter Uzbekistan. If you have an eSIM, your data will activate immediately.

The eVisa fee is around $20 USD. Payment is made online during the application via credit card. Some third-party sites charge extra — use the official e-visa.gov.uz portal. The fee is non-refundable if rejected.

A digital copy on your phone is usually accepted, but printing it is safer. Some immigration officers prefer a physical copy. Keep both. The PDF should be clear and not password-protected.
Rejections are rare but can happen if your photo is wrong or your passport scan is unclear. You can reapply with corrected documents. The fee is non-refundable. Common mistakes include blurry photos or mismatched names.
Yes, the eVisa is valid for entry at all international border crossings, including land borders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. The same rules apply. Have your documents ready for inspection.
If you're transiting through Uzbekistan and staying airside (not passing immigration), you don't need a visa. But if you want to leave the airport, you need an eVisa or a transit visa. Check with your airline for specific requirements.
