Mexican passport holders can enter Singapore without a visa for tourism or business visits up to 30 days. As of 2026, you just show up at Changi Airport and get an entry stamp on arrival. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your entry date.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Singapore strictly enforces the 6-month passport validity rule. Your passport must have at least 6 months remaining from your date of entry. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Singapore
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket. This can be a flight out of Singapore or a ferry/bus ticket to Malaysia or Indonesia. Budget airlines are especially strict — they may deny boarding without proof of onward travel.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host ready. Immigration may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. A simple booking confirmation printout works.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Carry at least SGD 1,000 (or equivalent in USD/EUR) in cash or have a bank statement showing available funds. Immigration rarely asks, but if they do, you need to show you can cover your stay without working.Recommended
Passport validity is critical
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Singapore. If it expires sooner, you will be denied boarding by the airline — no exceptions. Check your passport now, not at the airport.
No arrival card needed
Singapore scrapped the paper arrival card for most nationalities. You don't need to fill out anything online before you arrive. Just show up with your passport and return ticket.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents before departure
Check your passport validity (6+ months from entry date), book your return/onward ticket, and arrange accommodation. Save screenshots of your flight booking and hotel confirmation on your phone.
2
Arrive at Changi Airport (SIN)
You'll go through immigration at Changi. Join the 'All Passports' queue. Have your passport, boarding pass, and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp your passport with a 30-day visit pass.
3
Receive your visit pass
The immigration officer will issue a visit pass (usually 30 days). Check the stamp — it shows the 'until' date. Don't overstay, or you'll face fines and possible deportation.
4
Exit and enjoy your stay
Once stamped, collect your luggage and proceed through customs. You're free to stay up to 30 days. If you need more time, you can apply for an extension at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) before your pass expires.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, but it's not automatic. You must apply for an extension at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) before your current visit pass expires. Extensions are typically granted for up to 30 additional days, but it's at the officer's discretion. There's no fee for the application, but you'll need a valid reason (e.g., medical treatment, unexpected travel delays). Visit the ICA office at 10 Kallang Road, Singapore 208718 (near Lavender MRT).
Overstaying is a serious offense. You'll be fined up to SGD 1,000 and may be deported. For overstays of 90 days or more, you could face imprisonment and caning. Always check your passport stamp for the exact 'until' date.
No. Singapore no longer requires a paper arrival card or online declaration for Mexican passport holders. You just go through immigration with your passport and return ticket.
No. The visa-free entry is strictly for tourism, social visits, or business meetings. You cannot work, study, or engage in any paid activity. For work or study, you need the appropriate visa or pass (e.g., Employment Pass, Student Pass) arranged before you arrive.
You can apply for a 30-day extension at ICA (see FAQ above). If you need more than 60 days total, you'd need to leave Singapore and re-enter, but immigration may question frequent back-to-back visits. For longer stays, consider applying for a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) if you have a sponsor (e.g., family member or employer).
There's no fixed amount, but immigration officers may ask for proof of sufficient funds. A good rule of thumb is to have at least SGD 100–200 per day of your stay. A credit card or cash is fine.
It depends. Singapore has strict entry rules for certain offenses (e.g., drug trafficking, violent crimes). If you have a criminal record, especially for drug-related offenses, you may be denied entry. It's best to check with the Singapore High Commission in Mexico City before traveling.
